SysGit to Present on Agile Systems Engineering at 36th Annual INCOSE International Symposium

SysGit announces its attendance at the 36th Annual INCOSE International Symposium in Yokohama, Japan.

Taking place June 13-18, the INCOSE International Symposium is the largest annual gathering of the systems engineering community, where practitioners, researchers, and educators share their insights, experiences, and innovations, furthering the practice of systems engineering.

At the event, SysGit CTO and Co-Founder, Zeke Brechtel, will give a presentation titled “Finding Wa in the Workflow: How SysML v2 and DevOps Tooling Enable Agile Systems Engineering.” Zeke Brechtel will discuss how SysMLv2’s unique textual notation allows requirements and system models to be represented as text, and unlocks the use of DevOps collaboration practices for systems engineering. Brechtel will provide examples of agile workflows for systems engineering, including branching, merging, diffing, and CI/CD.

As the abstract states, “When systems models live in the same repositories as software, use the same branching strategies, and go through the same review processes, the silos between disciplines start to come down. Systems engineers and software engineers can work on shared artifacts with shared tools. The old divide between ‘model-based’ and ‘code-based’ work, or ‘model-based’ and ‘design-based’ work becomes less of a barrier.

The talk will take place on June 18 at 3:00 PM JT in Room 414/415 - 4th Floor.

“SysGit is incredibly excited to present at the INCOSE International Symposium,” said Brechtel. “Being selected for this talk is a testament to the global demand for more collaborative, human-centered systems engineering. We’re excited to engage with an audience of visionaries and leaders in this community.”

About Zeke Brechtel

Zeke Brechtel is the Co-founder and CTO of SysGit. An aerospace engineer by training, Zeke previously worked in vehicle engineering and mission management at SpaceX. At SpaceX, Zeke developed a facility for technical communication across organizations, and a familiarity with interactions between industry and the federal government. Brechtel earned a Master’s degree in aerospace, aeronautical and astronautical engineering from the University of Colorado, Boulder.

ABOUT SYSGIT

SysGit is the collaboration layer for complex hardware. Engineers use SysGit to create, iterate, review, and share requirements and system models. Leveraging SysML v2 and Git infrastructure, SysGit automates systems engineering using the same tools and practices that revolutionized software development. Learn more at sysgit.io.
